Cover Letter

If you are applying in response to a specific job posting, make sure you highlight the most relevant skills you possess that pertain to the job. If possible, answer how you possess each skill listed in the Job Description (include an example, using the STAR technique).

Remember, the person on the other end is trying to find someone who fits their needs. You have to spell out exactly why you are qualified for this job, and make them see how you would fit well with their needs. Again, the “So what?” test should be applied to see if you have included the most relevant information in your Cover Letter.
