Gas
Savings Tips: If your local gas station has
a rewards card, sign up for it! Some credit cards (usually issued via a partnership with the gas station), give you rewards for getting gas. If the reward for these is better than that for American Express Blue or Discover, you may want to get this
card as well. Many grocery stores now also offer fuel rewards at partner gas stations, which give you a discount upon presentation
of a valid receipt from the store. Try to group your errands into as few trips as possible. If you are not sure what route may be the most efficient, MapQuest now has a route selection feature (up to 10 destinations)—just type in the addresses of where you are going and you
should be able to see the best way to group your errands. If you have an AAA membership, you can now get access
to their TripTik program via the AAA website. This is very useful if you are going to be visiting many locations on one trip (for example, route Mystery Shopping).
To find the lowest price in your area, check out GasBuddy! Just enter your zip code, and it will give you a list of gas prices in your area by station location.
Air Travel: Traveling by plane? Did you know some airlines
will pay you back if they drop the price after you buy? Check out Yapta to see if your flight is eligible!
